WebDat (Windows and macOS only)
WebDat is a headless file transfer agent which runs in the background and interacts with the user through third-party web interfaces. It is designed to be easy to install and provide a fully web-based user interface.
WebDat requires a third-party web interface to transfer files. If you are an end-user, your ExpeDat server administrator will tell you if you should be using WebDat. If you are an ExpeDat server administrator, see the HTTP API section for information about developing for WebDat.
Once installed, WebDat appears as a menu bar item on macOS and a notification item on Windows. This pop-up menu provides status information and installation management. All file transfer interaction is controlled by webpages using the HTTP API. See the WebDat Reference UI for a working example.
