Software Update
by Data Expedition, Inc. | Announcements | Jul 10, 2020
ExpeDat 1.19A, CloudDat 1.19A, SyncDat 1.5F, MTP Tunnel 1.1Q, MTP 4.3.1
This update features new web integration capabilities. Web developers can now create their own in-browser interfaces for controlling and monitoring ExpeDat and CloudDat file transfers.
- HTTP Web API
ExpeDat Desktop can now be controlled and monitored using local HTTP requests. With this new API, JavaScript and other local software can verify that the client is running, initiate transfers, and securely monitor progress.
- No Plugins or Java
Web pages can present their own custom ExpeDat user interface without the need to install browser plugins or Java apps.
- Streamlined Desktop Prompts
Non-critical prompting can be disabled for a more consistent web-based experience. Security and data integrity prompts are now clearer and easier to notice.
See the Change Log accompanying each software package for details on additional improvements.
